The late Mr. Manzer, who was in his 67th year had been in failing health since he suffered a sun stroke about 8 years ago. Deceased was born in West Oxford [township], and had resided in this district for many years. He was a member of Trinity United Church and a life long member of the Truth Seekers Bible Class and had countless friends who deeply deplore his passing. Left to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father, are his widow, formerly Harriet Quinn, two daughters, Mrs. Fred Adams, Rayside; Mrs. Earl Wilson, Dereham [township]; three sons, Charles, Thamesford; J. W., Toronto; Bates, Embro; three brothers, ex-mayor, W. E. Manzer, Ingersoll; George and James, Woodstock, and four sisters, Mrs. A. J. Budd, Folden’s Corners; Mrs. I. J. The funeral was held from the family residence, Lot 23, Concession 1, West Oxford [township], on Tuesday afternoon to the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery, following service at the house at 2:30 o’clock.

JOHN MANZER The death occurred at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, on Tuesday evening July 20th of Harriet Jane Quinn, widow of the late John A. Manzer followed an illness of lengthy duration. Deceased who was in her 71st year was born in Dereham [township] and for the greater part of her life resided on a farm one mile south-west of Ingersoll in West Oxford [township]. Of a bright and cheery nature, she had made for herself a wide circle of friends, who will sadly mourn her passing. Her husband predeceased her about 4 years ago and during the past few years, she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Earl E. Wilson, Dereham [township], and her son, Charles Manzer, Thamesford. The late Mrs. Manzer was a member of Trinity United Church and when health permitted was a regular attendant at church services and an active worker in the women's organizations of the congregation. She was also a member of the Welcome Circle of King's daughters and the Ingersoll Branch of the WCTU. Left to mourn her passing are two daughters: Mrs. Fred Adams, Rayside; Mrs. Earl E. Wilson, Dereham [township]; three sons, Charles Manzer, Thamesford; J. Wesley Manzer, Toronto; Bates Manzer, Embro; three sisters, Mrs. William Minshall, Ingersoll; Mrs. John Oliver, Ingersoll; Mrs. Joseph Klein, Detroit; also five brothers, Charles, John and Fred Quinn, Dereham [township]; Robert Quinn, Ingersoll; and Winslow Quinn, Beachville. The funeral will be held this Thursday afternoon from the residence of her son, Charles, Thamesford, where services will be conducted at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery.
