Margaret with her father and famly were in the Philadelphia area from 1848 until 1857. They then moved to St. Louis which is 150 miles south of Pike County, Illinois. An uncle, William McAllister, and an aunt Nancy-wife of William McKinney mentioned they were there. Thre is reason to beleive that the McAllisters and the Wilsons knew each other in Ireland. According to a Civil War pension document, Alexander was born near Coleranine Ireland (Coleraine is in County Londonderry and yet the document said it was in Antrim) which is very near where the McAllisters were in Ireland, and could have in fact been very close to the Wilsons. After they were married, they went to Onodago County New York (5 months), Rochester NY (6 months), and then back to Philadelphia for maybe a year. They went to St Louis for a short time and then moved back to Pike, CO., Illnois and farmed in Fairmount Township. In about 1882 they moved to Hamilton CO., Nebraska. Alex was in the Civil War 1862-1865. Alex and Margaret had 15 children. Thirteen of these lived to the age to have children. Most had children, a bunch of children." Source: Melvin McCallister, descendant of McCallister family. Margaret married Alexander WILSON, son of John W. WILSON and Unknown, on 19 Aug 1858 in Pike County, Illinois. (Alexander WILSON was born on 7 Apr 1834 in Coleraine, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, died on 31 May 1912 in Aurora, Hamilton County, Nebraska and was buried in May 1912 in Aurora, Hamilton County, Nebraska.)

Dec 1843, Ireland) and children Ida M. (age 21, b. Oct 1879, IL), William H. (age 20, b. Jul 1880, IL), Robert C. (age 18, b. Dec 1881, NE), Ethel P. (age 15, b. Jul 1884, NE) and Atta G. (age 12, b. Feb 1888, NE), living in Hamilton, Nebraska. Alexander is listed as a "farmer," and both he and Margaret indicate that both their parents were born in Ireland. Alexander and Margaret indicate that they have been married for 42 years, and have had 15 children, 13 of whom are still living. Alexander indicates that he immigrated to the U.S. in 1845 and is naturalized. The record indicates that the family moved from Illinois to Nebraska between 1880-1881.
